Set up direct printing with QZ Tray

With QZ Tray you print labels directly to your printer without a print dialog. QZ Tray is free and works with any printer installed on your computer.

Setup

1. Install QZ Tray on the computer the printer is connected to (download at qz.io).
2. In PostConnect, download the certificate file under Printer settings → QZ Tray (direct printing).
3. Place the file named override.crt in the QZ Tray folder. This usually requires administrator rights.
4. Restart QZ Tray, choose a printer in PostConnect and run a test print. On the first prompt tick "Remember this decision" and allow – after that it prints without asking.

Direct printing also works without steps 2 and 3, but QZ Tray will then ask for every print.

Troubleshooting

• Test print failed: Is QZ Tray running and is the printer switched on?
• No printer found: The printer must be installed on the computer and switched on.
• QZ Tray still asks despite the certificate: The file is not yet in the QZ Tray folder or QZ Tray has not been restarted.
