Set up packing slips and shipping documents
Updated
On the Shipping documents page you set what comes with the label: customs documents and the packing slip. You find it in the app under Settings → Shipping documents. Which printers are used is still set in the printer settings.
Packing slip
PostConnect creates one packing slip per parcel with items, quantities and a QR code for tracking. Packing slips are available on all plans.
- Print packing slip together with the label: if the packing slip fits the same paper as the label, it goes into the same print job. Otherwise it goes to the document printer, or a print button appears.
- Format: automatic, A4, A5 or label roll 100 × 150 mm. Automatic means A4 if a document printer is set up, otherwise the label printer's paper.
- Show prices: unit prices and goods value. For gifts or dropshipping usually better without.
- Show SKU
- Thank-you note: appears below the items, e.g. a thank-you, a discount code or a note on returns.
- Footer: in addition to sender, email and phone, e.g. website or company register number.
With Print sample or Download sample you see the result before saving. You can reprint a packing slip at any time from Labels and Orders.
Packing slip in your own design (Advanced)
On the Advanced plan you design the packing slip yourself:
- Accent colour for title and table header. Left empty, your tracking page's colour is used.
- Seasonal designs, e.g. for Easter, Halloween, Black Friday or Advent. With Automatic by season the design changes by itself and returns to your chosen one afterwards.
- Logo: the logo of the Post account, the tracking page logo or no logo – then the shop name appears in the header.
On the other plans the standard design with the logo of the Post account is used.
Customs documents
For shipments outside the EU customs territory (e.g. Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA) and to EU special territories (e.g. Canary Islands, Heligoland, Livigno), PostConnect requests the customs declaration (CN23) with the order's items from Austrian Post. From the Startup plan this happens automatically.
- Request CN23 from Austrian Post: switch on or off.
- Print automatically after the label: first the labels on the label printer, then all customs documents on the document printer. This needs a document printer in the printer settings (multiple printers are available on the Advanced plan). Without one, a print button appears after the label is printed.
Which customs data every item needs: Shipping outside the EU: entering customs data correctly.
