Post Connect

Find and enter your PLC credentials

Updated

PostConnect connects to your Austrian Post business account (PLC). You find the credentials in the PLC portal.

Credentials in the PLC portal

  1. Log in at plc.post.at.
  2. Open Device configuration.
  3. Select Organization: Departments → API Data.

There you find Client ID, Organization Unit ID and Organization Unit GUID.

Enter them in PostConnect

  1. Open Settings → Post Business Customer Accounts (PLC) → Add account.
  2. Enter a contract name, e.g. “Main account” or “Vienna warehouse”.
  3. Enter Client ID, Organization Unit ID and Organization Unit GUID.
  4. Optional: the Tracking API credentials for automatic tracking (see Tracking and customer notifications).
  5. Click Test connection & save.

PostConnect checks the connection and loads the shipping products and additional services your contract allows. If new ones are added later, click Refresh on the account.

Test access

If your credentials only work for Austrian Post's test environment, PostConnect switches to test mode automatically. For real shipments you need the live credentials (see Test mode).

Several contracts

Connect several PLC accounts, for example for two warehouses, from the Startup plan (2 accounts); Growth allows 3 and Advanced 6. Set default decides which account is preselected.

Problems connecting

  • “Connection test failed”: copy the values from the PLC portal again, without spaces.
  • “Connection to the PLC live endpoint is blocked”: Austrian Post has to enable your access – contact plc@post.at.
  • Not a business customer yet? Austrian Post business customer service: 0800 010 100 (free), interface access via plc@post.at.
