Shipping rules: preselect product and services automatically

With shipping rules the label dialog already has the right choice – for example Post Express when your customer chose “Express” in Shopify, or an included return label for shipments to Germany.

Create a rule

1. Open Settings → Shipping rules → Add rule.
2. When the rule applies:
   • Destination area: Austria, International or a specific country.
   • Shopify shipping method: title or code from Shopify, e.g. “Express”. Leave empty to apply the rule to all shipping methods.
   • PLC account: a specific account or all.
3. What it presets: shipping product, label type, return product, sender address and additional services. Only what you set is applied – everything else stays as it is.
4. Save.

Which rule wins?

A higher priority always wins. At equal priority the more specific rule applies: a country before an area, a matching shipping method before none.

Without a rule, the product order you set on the PLC account under Shipping products and additional services applies.

Good to know

• “Shipment and return” creates two labels; both count towards your quota.
• The Free plan doesn't include return labels, so rules can only preset shipping there.
• You can still change everything preselected in the label dialog before creating the label.
